Navigating Grief: Using the creative process and mindfulness practice to move through and externalize grief

  • beam and anchor 2710 North Interstate Avenue Portland, OR, 97227 United States (map)

Grief and loss are as much a part of the human landscape as love and joy are. Yet, when loss permeates our lives in whatever form it comes in, most of us are ill equipped to navigate and move through the pain of the experience and the imprint it leaves on our psyches. This is not technically a class. It’s more of a get together for those of us that have had to learn how to swim through the churning waters of grief. Together, we will meet and share where we are in our grief process. We will deeply listen to each other. If we are so inclined, we will pick up some art materials and make something that helps us alchemize our pain. Any and all grievers are welcome: the death of a loved one, miscarriage, infertility, divorce, ambiguous loss, etc.
